Java, Bali, and Lombok Voted Top 3 Best Islands in the World!
The word ‘island’ usually conjures thoughts of sun-soaked sands, idyllic turquoise ocean and gently swaying palm trees. But a new World’s Best survey conducted by Travel & Leisure proves there is no single formula for paradise.
Based on activities, natural attractions, beaches, food, and friendliness, thousands of wanderlust enthusiasts voted for their favorite island havens around the world. Beating out traditional favorites like Maui in Hawaii, Bora Bora and Tahiti, the densely populated Indonesian island of Java took first place.
Described as the ‘heart of a nation’, Java is the economic and geographic center of Indonesia and serves as home to 141 million people.
Lying in between Sumatra and popular Bali, Java featured on the World’s Best list for the first time this year thanks to its’ powerful waterfalls, longstanding local traditions, conservation areas and awesome nature.
It was a clean sweep for Indonesia, with neighboring Bali and Lombok nabbing second and third place respectively.
Tempat wisata di Bali is also a good reference while you are in Bali.
